Your agreement to use CI.ME Studio is formed when you accept these Terms, submit your application, and Marpple approves your use of the Service. Marpple may modify its approval criteria or application procedures as reasonably necessary for the operation of the Service.

The minimum age required to enter into a CI.ME Studio agreement is:

Until Marpple introduces a system to verify parental or guardian consent, Marpple may restrict applications from users under the age of eighteen (18) for technical or operational reasons.

2.2 Termination of the User Agreement

Marpple may terminate this agreement if a streamer violates these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or other applicable operating policies while creating content, operating a channel, monetizing content, or otherwise using the Service.

Marpple may suspend or permanently terminate a streamer's access if, based on reports, media coverage, official documents, or other credible evidence, Marpple reasonably determines that the streamer has engaged in any of the following:

  • Fails to correct a violation of applicable law, these Terms, or the Community Guidelines within seven (7) days after receiving notice from Marpple.
  • Engages in conduct that materially harms, or is reasonably likely to harm, the reputation, trust, image, or goodwill of Marpple, the Service, or its brands.

  • Suspension or termination of live broadcasts
  • Temporary or permanent account suspension
  • Suspension of monetization features
  • Withholding of Settlement Amounts
  • Termination of the User Agreement

The streamer is not entitled to claim compensation from Marpple for enforcement actions taken in accordance with these Terms.

Marpple will generally provide prior notice before taking enforcement action. However, where prior notice is impractical or would compromise the effectiveness of the enforcement action, Marpple may provide notice after the action has been taken.

3. Content

3.1 General Content Standards

Streamers must comply with all applicable laws, these Terms, and Marpple's operating policies when creating or providing Content through the Service. Streamers are solely responsible for any loss or damage arising from violations of these Terms or applicable laws and shall indemnify Marpple and any third party for such losses where required by law.

If any dispute arises between a streamer and a third party in connection with Content provided through the Service, the streamer is solely responsible for resolving the dispute and any resulting legal consequences. Marpple is not responsible for such disputes.

Marpple makes no representations or warranties regarding the legality, accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any Content provided through the Service.

3.2 Ownership and License to Content

Unless otherwise provided by applicable law, all intellectual property rights in Content remain with the streamer. By uploading or making Content available through the Service, the streamer grants Marpple a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, transmit, host, process, edit, and otherwise use the Content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, promote, improve, and provide the Service.

Marpple may make the Content available to users through the Service and may use the Content for marketing, promotional, or operational purposes. Marpple may edit, adapt, or reformat Content as necessary for technical or operational reasons, provided that such modifications do not materially alter the substance of the Content or unreasonably harm the streamer's reputation. Marpple may also display or distribute the Content through social media platforms or other services for promotional or service-related purposes.

3.3 Streamer Responsibilities

The streamer represents and warrants that all Content provided through the Service:

  • Does not infringe the copyright, trademark, patent, publicity rights, portrait rights, privacy rights, or any other intellectual property or legal rights of any third party.
  • Is owned by the streamer, or that the streamer has obtained all rights, permissions, licenses, and authorizations necessary to publish and distribute the Content.
  • Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and disclosure requirements.
  • Does not contain unlawful or otherwise prohibited material.

Where applicable laws or industry guidelines require disclosure of sponsorships, endorsements, paid promotions, affiliate relationships, or other commercial interests, the streamer is solely responsible for making the required disclosures. For example, paid advertisements, sponsored content, and promotional collaborations must be clearly identified using the disclosure tools provided by CI.ME Studio where available.

The streamer must make reasonable efforts to ensure that Content prohibited under these Terms, the CI.ME Content Guidelines, or Marpple's operating policies is not published through the Service. If prohibited Content is identified or reported, the streamer must promptly take corrective action, including removing the Content, changing its visibility, or taking any other measures reasonably requested by Marpple. Where immediate action is not technically feasible, the streamer must act as soon as reasonably possible.

If a rights holder, authorized representative, law enforcement agency, government authority, court, or other competent authority asserts a claim or initiates a dispute relating to the streamer's Content or use of the Service—including claims involving copyright, trademarks, portrait rights, publicity rights, defamation, privacy, or other legal rights—the streamer is solely responsible for resolving the matter at the streamer's own expense. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the streamer shall indemnify Marpple for any losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from the streamer's breach of these Terms or unlawful Content.

Where a claim has been made or Marpple reasonably determines, based on objective evidence, that a violation may have occurred, Marpple may temporarily restrict access to the Content, remove the Content, suspend broadcasts, restrict monetization, withhold Settlement Amounts, or take other appropriate enforcement actions until the streamer demonstrates that the Content complies with these Terms and applicable law. Any withholding of Settlement Amounts will be limited to the portion reasonably related to the disputed Content or the underlying transaction.

3.4 Clips

Streamers may allow other CI.ME users to create Clips from their Content using the clipping features provided by the Service. Users may create, view, and share Clips only through the methods officially supported by the Service. Clips may be displayed or promoted within the Service or on third-party platforms. Except where required by applicable law, Marpple is not responsible for the creation, use, or distribution of Clips by streamers or other CI.ME users.

4. Service Operations

4.1 Broadcasting

Marpple may establish the procedures, technical requirements, and broadcasting methods applicable to CI.ME. Different broadcasting requirements may apply to different streamers based on operational needs. To maintain the stability, security, and quality of the Service, Marpple may modify broadcasting methods, technical standards, or service requirements at any time. Streamers may simulcast only to the extent permitted by Marpple. Marpple may modify or restrict simulcasting requirements at its sole discretion.

To ensure reliable live streaming and maintain service quality, Marpple may collect and process information relating to a streamer's broadcasting environment, including device information, operating system, network status, and other technical system information, solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service. Additional broadcasting requirements and technical specifications may be set forth in Marpple's operating policies, which will be made available through the Service.

4.2 Advertising

To operate and monetize the Service, Marpple may display advertisements on the Service, including within channels, video players, or at designated points during live broadcasts. Advertisements will be displayed only as reasonably necessary for the operation of the Service and will not be considered a modification of the essential content or substance of a streamer's Content. Marpple will display advertisements in accordance with applicable laws and will not edit or alter a streamer's Content solely for the purpose of serving advertisements.

The placement, management, and operation of advertisements are determined by Marpple. Revenue generated from advertisements is governed by separate monetization policies or agreements. Where requested by advertisers or partners, or where reasonably necessary to ensure advertising quality, brand safety, or compliance, Marpple may limit or suspend advertising on specific Content or channels.

4.3 Collection and Use of Service Data

Marpple may collect, store, process, and use Service Data generated through the use of the Service, or otherwise collected in connection with the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Where appropriate, Marpple may anonymize or aggregate Service Data before using it. Service Data may be used for purposes including:

  • Operating, maintaining, improving, and ensuring the quality of the Service.
  • Planning, developing, testing, and launching new features, products, or monetization models.
  • Developing, operating, and improving recommendation, ranking, search, and discovery algorithms.
  • Producing statistics, performing data analysis, and measuring Service performance.
  • Supporting marketing, promotional, and business operations.

Even after this Agreement has been terminated, suspended, or ended, streamers may not request the deletion, return, or discontinuation of use of Service Data that has been anonymized or aggregated by Marpple, including statistical and analytical data. The collection, storage, processing, deletion, and protection of personal information included in Service Data are governed by applicable privacy laws and Marpple’s Privacy Policy.

Without Marpple’s prior written consent, users, and third parties may not collect, extract, store, reproduce, process, or publish any Service Data or Content available through the Service using automated means or similar technologies, including crawlers, scrapers, bots, macros, or comparable tools.

In particular, statistics, ranking, payment amounts, or other data relating to donations, subscriptions, payments, or monetization may not be collected, disclosed, or published on external services without Marpple’s prior written approval. If you violate this Section, Marpple may take this appropriate action, including restricting your access to the Service, requesting the removal of Content, or pursuing legal remedies. The provisions of this Section will survive the termination or expiration of this Agreement.

4.4 Service Interuptions

Marpple may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service in the following circumstances:

  • Scheduled maintenance, inspections, or system upgrades.
  • Interruptions caused by third-party service providers, including telecommunications or network providers.
  • Natural disasters, national emergencies, or other force majeure events
  • Technical failures, security incidents, or other operational issues beyond Marpple’s reasonable control

Where practicable, Marpple will provide advance notice of the reason for an expected duration of any service interruption. If prior notice is not reasonably possible, notice may be provided afterward.

Unless otherwise required by Marpple’s operating policies or expressly stated in the Service, Marpple does not gurantee the storage or backup of Content. Streamers are solely responsible for maintaining their own copies of any Content they upload or create through the Service.

5. Revenue and Settlement

5.1 Revenue

Streamers must use only the monetization features provided through the Service to generate revenue from donations, subscriptions, or other supported monetization features. If a streamer generates revenue through third-party services or promotes such external monetization methods within Content without Marpple’s prior approval, Marpple may, without prior notice, suspend broadcasts, terminate this Agreement, withhold settlement payments, or take other appropriate enforcement actions. Notice may be provided after such action where appropriate.

5.2 Settlement

Marpple will make settlement payments once per month to eligible streamers who satisfy all of the following conditions:

  • The total unpaid settlement amount accumulated as of the end of the previous month is at least KRW 300,000
  • The streamer has accurately provided all information required for settlement and payment processing

If either of the above requirements is not met, Marpple will not issue a settlement payment for that period, and any unpaid balance will continue to accumulate. Once all eligibility requirements are met, the accumulated settlement amount will be paid during the next scheduled settlement cycle.

Unpaid settlement balances expire five (5) years after the date the applicable revenue was earned. Settlement amounts are calculated in KRW. Depending on the settlement information you provide or the payments methods supported by Marpple’s financial institutions or payment providers, Marpple may convert settlement amounts into your local currency or another currency designated by Marpple.

You are responsible for any currency conversion fees, transfer fees, taxes, payment processing fees, or other charges imposed by financial institutions or payment providers. Marpple may deduct these fees from your settlement or allow the payment provider or financial institution to deduct them before payment. As a result, the amount you receive may differ from the calculated settlement amount.

Marpple may establish settlement fees applicable to the Service and make them available through the Service. Separate settlement fee schedules may apply to Partner Streamers under separate agreements and are not required to be publicly posted. Upon request, Marpple will provide reasonable documentation supporting the calculation of your settlement.

If a payment is cancelled, charged back, reversed, suspected of fraud, or otherwise disputed by a payment provider, financial institution, user, law enforcement authority, or other third party, Marpple may deduct the corresponding amount from your settlement, withhold payment, offset it against future settlements, or require repayment of amounts already paid.

6. Miscellaneous

6.1 Assignment

Neither Marpple nor the streamer may assign, transfer, pledge, or otherwise dispose of any rights or obligations under this Agreement without the other party’s prior written consent.

6.2 Cooperation with Investigations

When required by applicable law or a lawful request from a government authority or law enforcement agency, Marpple may disclose information relating to a streamer or their Content. If a streamer engages in unlawful conduct, Marpple may provide relevant information to competent authorities as necessary to support an investigation or comply with applicable law.

6.3 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.

6.4 Liability for Damages

If either Marpple or the streamer breaches this Agreement through willful misconduct or negligence and causes damage to the other party, the breaching party shall be liable for such damages in accordance with applicable law.

6.5 Supplemental Agreements

If the parties need to agree on matters not covered by this Agreement, they may do so through a separate supplemental agreement or contract. Any supplemental agreement or contract becomes part of this Agreement. Unless otherwise specified in the supplemental agreement or contract, the provisions of this Agreement will apply.

6.6 Confidentiality

Marpple and the streamer must keep confidential all non-public information obtained from the other party in connection with this Agreement and may not disclose it to any third party.

This obligation does not apply where disclosure is:

  • Required by applicable law or a lawful request from a court, law enforcement agency, or government authority; or
  • Reasonably necessary for the operation of the Service or the resolution of a dispute, provided the information is disclosed only to Marpple’s legal, accounting, tax, payment, or settlement advisors who are bound by confidentiality obligations and only to the extent necessary.

The confidentiality obligations under this Section survive the termination or expiration of this Agreement for three (3) years.
